Besides being a performing concert pianist, Dr. Mark Laverty is also a piano teacher in his home studio in Chesterfield (a St. Louis suburb), teaching for more than 25 years. He teaches approximately 20 students on a weekly basis. They perform in recitals and competitions (the photo below is from a recent recital). The repertoire ranges from classical to jazz, popular to Broadway music.

We recently wrapped up an excellent year of piano instruction at Chesterfield Piano Studio! This was a student recital held May 16th at the Steinway Piano Gallery, Jane Allen Recital Hall. Eight of my students received 'Superior' scores at the Federation Piano Festival in April!
