Ruth Slenczynska Memorial Event

World-renowned concert pianist and Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville Professor Emeritus, Dr. Ruth Slenczynska-Kerr was honored and remembered at a Memorial service on Sunday, August 30, at 3:00 p.m., on the campus. I was a student of hers in the 1990’s for my Masters Degree and had the honor and privilege of performing and speaking about my memories and thoughts of her. She was virtuoso pianist and a tremendous teacher and is sorely missed. I performed a portion of ‘Sheep May Safely Graze’, by J. S. Bach, arranged by Egon Petri, one of her many famous teachers.
